Apothefinca hosts Writers Retreats, yoga, plant medicine classes and so much more. Apothefinca is a 5-acre organic jungle home and arts sanctuary tucked in Escamequita, Southern Nicaragua. This magical space offers a restorative environment for writers, artists, and seekers of creative and natural healing.
Guests can book a private cottage or share the main house in small residencies (up to 3 people), ideal for focused creative work. Rooms include ensuite bathrooms and open onto lush gardens and jungle paths, often with howler monkeys and coatis wandering nearby.
Experience daily yoga and movement medicine sessions on-site, with one-on-one osteopathy available. Dive into herbal medicine workshops, explore the plant-filled farm, and stir tinctures or teas in seasonal classes.
Enjoy farm-to-table breakfast and lunch daily, using organic vegetables, fruits, eggs, and herbal teas. Creative inspiration awaits in the Canopy Studio—an open-air creative hub surrounded by tropical greenery.

Surf Classes - we know the best instructors and can help with transport and surf board rental and make sure you get a class suited to your level.
Spanish Lessons - learning a bit of spanish is a great idea. Having the basics or improving your level of conversational spanish is always a good idea.
Horseback Riding - the village of Escamequita where Apothefinca is situated is home to internationally renowned stables. We can help coordinate jungle and beach rides. We highly recommend the sunset full moon beach ride!
Massage & Pedicures - Don’t worry about getting your nails done before you come. We knew great therapists and estheticians who can come to Apothefinca and help you reset with a good massage after your long journey and sort out making your feet and hands pretty.
